What Equipment Is Needed For Liquefied Natural Gas?

Leave a message

Cooler
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is an extremely cold gas that needs to be cooled to below -160 degrees Celsius to liquefy. Therefore, a cooler is one of the essential pieces of equipment in LNG production. The cooler gradually cools the LNG, causing it to change from a gaseous to a liquid state.

Compressor
LNG needs to be compressed into smaller volumes for storage and transportation. Therefore, a compressor is a crucial piece of equipment. The compressor compresses the gas to a high pressure for storage and transportation.

Separator
During the liquefaction process, LNG may mix with other impurities, so it needs to be separated. A separator separates these impurities, ensuring the purity of the LNG.

Storage Tank
LNG is stored in storage tanks for storage and transportation. Storage tanks need to withstand extremely low temperatures and high pressures, and have good sealing performance and corrosion resistance.

Pressure Relief Valve
Pressure relief valves are essential safety equipment in the storage and transportation of LNG. When the pressure of liquefied natural gas (LNG) becomes too high, the pressure relief valve automatically opens to release the excess pressure, maintaining the safety performance of the LNG system.

Explosion-proof equipment: Because LNG is flammable and explosive, explosion-proof equipment is required in LNG systems. This equipment includes firewalls, explosion-proof motors, and fire pumps, effectively preventing fires or explosions in the LNG system.
