Gas Introduction
Krypton is a rare gas, colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and inert, primarily present in the atmosphere. It accounts for 1.1 ppm of the atmosphere. Boiling point -153.35℃, its atmospheric content is very low (trace, 1.14×10⁻⁶ by volume). It is non-combustible and does not support combustion. It can absorb X-rays. Gas relative density is 3.736 (-152.9℃), liquid relative density is 2.155. Melting point -156.6℃, boiling point (-152.3±1.0)℃. Critical temperature -63.81℃, critical pressure 55×10⁵ Pa. It has high density, low thermal conductivity, and high transmission properties.


Applications
Krypton plays an important role in scientific research, medical applications, and the electronics and electric light industries. Light bulbs filled with pure krypton have higher luminous efficiency, smaller size, longer lifespan, and energy-saving advantages compared to argon-filled bulbs of the same power. It is widely used to manufacture miner's lamps. Due to its particularly high transmittance, it can be used for night combat off-road vehicle spotlights and runway indicator lights for aircraft. In the medical field, it is used to measure cerebral blood flow.
